Specialization in earthquake analysis and design. Over Fifty years of experience in computerized analysis and design of structural steel, reinforced concrete, masonry, and wood framed structures. Extensive experience in construction methods and techniques and cost analysis. Has worked on rehabilitation and strengthening of several buildings, including steel moment framed structures, concrete buildings per Division 95 and per LA City Requirements.
Has successfully worked with architects, developers, and owners/builders on a variety of projects. Has been involved in projects from initial planning to occupancy stage, including tenant improvement works. Has a very good understanding and appreciation of field conditions and resolution of field issues. Is very familiar with material and labor cost aspects of construction and is able to arrive at and recommend economical solutions.

Over seventeen years of experience in analysis and design of wood, reinforced concrete, masonry and steel structures from preliminary phase to construction phase. Communicates and coordinates effectively and professionally with architects, developers, other design consultants and contractors on all aspects of projects. Attends project meetings, and visits job sites to monitor progress of projects and to ensure that installations conform to design specifications. Has plan check experience in reviewing structural plans and specifications for compliance with building codes, standards, and guidelines.
Is proficient in Structural design software and as well as inhouse-developed structural programs and in CAD details/standards. Manages design engineers and CAD personnel and ensures that projects comply with the inhouse office standards. Has good knowledge of construction costs, schedules. Works with architects, construction managers and developers on value engineering items by closely working with General Contractors and Sub Contractors.
